2) aller dans CCM -->Gestion des logitiels-->Configurer les sources pour installer et mettre a jour les logiciels
afin de voir clair
Supprimer tout les medias "debug"
Cocher tous les medias sauf les medias "testing"
quitter
3) aller dans CCM -->Gestion des logitiels-->Installer et desinstaller des logiciels
a gauche de rechercher selectionner "Installé"
a droite de rechercher taper nvidia et touche entrée
desinstaller tous les paquets eventuellement trouvés
quitter
4) ouvrir une console root

5) aller dans CCM -->Démarrage-->Configurer la connexion automatique
Décocher lancer l'interface graphique au démarrage
6) redémarrer l'ordinateur
une fois au prompt

Tu gardes la carte video selectionnés choisis ok au moment ou il te demandes si tu veux le driver proprietaire tu dis oui (si tu dis non ca sera le driver nouveau) tu continu en gardant les options proposés et quitte, (refuse le test)
redemarre ton ordinateur

une fois au prompt

si tout marche bien que tu es dans kde ou autre en root
aller dans CCM -->Démarrage-->Configurer la connexion automatique
Cocher lancer l'interface graphique au démarrage
et redemarrer ton ordinateur
si ca plante de nouveau

si toujours ne fonctionne pas

ce qui remettra la configuration comme au debut
tu peux aussi relancer XFdrake et quand il te demandes si tu veux le driver proprietaire tu dis non et le driver nouveau sera installé
voila en esperant que ton probleme sera resolu

Après avoir installé les pilotes proprios....avant de redémarrer !
Fais tu ceci :

et après redémarrage > si çà passe ?....

sudo nvidia-settings # Permet,une fois configuré en graphique de sauvegarder les paramètres nvidia

En console root quand j'ai tapé Xfdrake, il m'a dit qu'il existait un pilote propriétaire est-ce que je veux l'installer j'ai répondu oui puis au bout d'un moment il m'a rendu la main avec le message suivant:

Pour ma part ça ne me parle pas, ce que je peux dire c'est que le fichier /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.10.1/Curses/UI/checkbox.pm
n'existe pas (mais c'est peut-être normal vu que je suis revenu avec un pilote nvidia non propriétaire).
Je vais jusqu'à /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl et en dessous j'ai 2 dossiers : 5.16.2 et 5.18.1 je n'ai pas de 5.10.1 !!!
A moins que je me soit trompé en notant le message et qu'au lieu de 5.10.1 ce soit 5.18.1 car là j'ai bien curses/UI/checkbox.pm
et à la ligne 221 j'ai: $this->{-canvasscr}->attron(COLOR_PAIR($pair)); !!!!!!!!!!!
Il parle bien de "attron" pour moi c'est du chinois !!!
Je joins quand même le contenu de ce fichier on ne sait jamais

Ensuite au redémarrage c'est le même combat, feu d'artifice sur l'écran puis écran gris ou bleu ou noir ça dépend des fois !!! il ne me reste plus qu'redémarrer en mode sans échec pour faire un coup de XFdrake et positionner le pilote nouveau !!
J'ai bien des soucis avec cette mga4 heureusement que j'ai gardé mga3 en dual boot avec des /home séparés pour chaque système, je ne sais pas si je ne vais pas retourner sur mga3.
Dans tous les cas merci à tous d'avoir essayé de m'aider.

ce qui serait bien c'est de voir quelle est l'erreur qui fait planter le serveur avec le pilote nvidia. Pour ça il faudrait booter en mode console (désactiver le lancement de l'interface graphique au démarrage dans CCM) puis lancer le serveur par la commande startx et récupérer le log, ou bien nous envoyer le Xorg.0.log.old juste après un plantage "feu d'artifice + écran unicolore " lorsque tu reboote avec le driver nouveau 

Merci pour ta réponse mais est-ce que le log dont tu parles et le Xorg.0.log.old sont un seul et même fichier ou bien est-ce que ce sont 2 fichiers différents ? pourrais-tu me dire où est-ce que je trouve ces fichiers ?
Ensuite, après le plantage il faudrait peut-être que je redémarre en mode sans échec et que je récupère ce ou ces fichiers par une commande cp vers le bureau par exemple parce que si juste après plantage je remats tout d'aplomb pour redémarrer avec le pilote libre je n'aurai peut-être plus ces fichiers ?!!

Je viens de le faire mais c'est pareil ça ne marche pas en même temps que j'avais du feu d'artifice sur l'écran, j'ai aussi une fenêtre qui indique qu'il y a eu un plantage et on peut donner des indication et l'envoyer mais je ne pouvais pas avoir la main dessus.
Par acquis de conscience je suis revenu sur mga3 j'ai positionné le pilote proprio par CCM (il n'a rien installé ce qui doit bien vouloir dire qu'il était déjà installé) mais m'a proposé de l'installer ce que j'ai fait, j'ai redémarré et ça marche nickel, flightgear et las bulles au survol de la souris sont très bien lisibles alors que sur mga4 avec le pilote libre les bulles sont noires.

Dans mon message précédent je dis que ça n'a pas marché et c'est vrai, mais ce que j'avais fait, c'est d'abord copier
/etc/X11/xorg.conf de la mga3 dans mga4 puis positionné le pilote proprio et à ce moment là à mon avis en positionnant le pilote proprio il a écrasé le /etc/X11/xorg.conf.
Donc ce que je viens de faire c'est d'abord configurer le pilote proprio par CCM puis copie du fichier /etc/X11/xorg.conf de la mga3 vers mga4. Ensuite je redémarre et ça marche, en tous cas je n'ai plus le feu d'artifice et d'ailleurs je vous écrit ce message avec cette configuration pilote proprio et /etc/X11/xorg.conf de la mga3.
Malheureusement il y a quand même beucoup d'autres problèmes:
1) Les bulles au survol de la souris sont toujours noires (aucune écriture n'est visible à l'intérieur)
2) J'utilise un lanceur d'application qui s'appelle cairo-dock, ci-dessous
Ecran sans pilote proprio: on voit le cairo-dock en haut pas de problème.

La grande différence entre les 2 c'est que sur l'écran avec pilote proprio il y a un grand rectangle noir qui entoure le cairo-dock
ce qui est très gênant (si j'affiche une fenêtre et que le haut passe sous ce rectangle noir je n'ai plus accès aux boutons de la fenêtre)
Quand je démarre l'ordi et qu'il active cairo-dock, il me mets le message suivant:

"Pour supprimer le rectangle noir autour du dock vous devez afficher un gestionnaire d'affichage composite"
Je ne sais pas ce qu'est un gestionnaire d'affichage composite donc je ne sais pas l'afficher !!!
3) Flightgear ne fonctionne pas, je n'arrive même pas à le lancer, au lancement j'ai une fenêtre fugitive puis plus rien.
Voilà, malgré tout le chmilblic est en train d'avancer mais ce n'est pas encore satisfaisant.

Merci beaucoup de passer autant de temps sur mon problème, mais ne pensez-vous pas qu'il pourrait y avoir un problème au niveau du noyau linux ?! c'est une question comme ça, je ne m'explique pas pourquoi ça marche sous mga3 et pas sous mga4.

Concernant le rectangle noir pour cairo-dock cela est à un problème openGL/Glx qui est non fonctionnel donc problème avec la librairie nvidia !

OK, je vais d'abord refaire un test simplement en positionnant le pilote propriétaire puis je poste le fichier log.
Je fais ça dans la journée ou en début de semaine.
