Voilà un lien comme on les aime !
Désinstallé google-earth par le CCM. Configuré les dépots comme indiqué. En fait, il n'y a qu'une librairie 32b nécessaire : libglibc_lsb. Retour au CCM. Aussi vite dit, aussi vite fait.
Un lien dans google-earth dans "internet" un clic. Petit tour en Espagne, lancé le simulateur de vol et rapidement crashé. Parti sur mars. Relancé le simulateur. Recrash
Bref tout semble parfait. J'attends demain pour mettre Résolu : Chat échaudé....

j'ai bien fait de me méfier ! Le pb n'est pas résolu : Google-earth se lance. Ecran la planète bleue. Puis écran "astuces". Puis pfoui. Le curseur s'agite encore un peu puis plus rien.
Qu'est-ce qui s'est passé entre hier et aujourd'hui ? Rien.
Si une maj de Mageia, mais j'ai rien vu qui pouvait concerner Google-earth.
Bon, je me repenche sur le sujet dans 2 ou 3 jours.

Comme Google-Earth une appli 32 bits, selon les cas il peut manquer soit une bibliothèque, soit un link entre un module 32 et 64.

Je retente le coup ce soir et google-earth se lance et semble tourner correctement.
Je quitte et lance à travers une console pour voir et j'ai

Mais vraiment je l'ai encore installé hier en partant du gestionnaire de package après avoir fait:

et ça a marché nickel

Après vérif, j'ai aussi libstdc++6 et devel.
Après l'installation par les dépots google, comme toi, ça a marché nickel aussi. Je suis passé en [résolu], puis le lendemain échec. Ce soir, en testant, Google-earth a bien voulu se lancer.... une fois.
Hypothèse 1 : c'est ma machine qui a un pb : processeur trop lent, mémoire vive insuffisante, mais ça m'étonnerait
Hypothèse 2 : il y a quelque chose d'instable quelque part, mais où ?
Je projette de désinstaller Google-earth et toutes les bibliothèques que j'avais téléchargées pour essayer de le faire tourner, puis de refaire un urpmi sur le dépot de google. Dès que j'ai un moment

Les bibliothèques nécessaires à Google-Earth doivent en tout cas être toutes installées, ainsi que, pour Mageia64, certaines en 32, puisque cette appli tourne en réalité en 32 bits.
Il suffit qu'une seule manque pour qu'elle foire, par recoupements on retrouve ces biblios en furetant sur le Ouèbe, quelque que soit la distro, j'ai toujours procédé ainsi et je m'en suis toujours sorti, et autant dire que des infos on en trouve à la pelle...
cjpkicherche, si tu as oublié par exemple au départ un miroir, c'est toute la chaîne des biblios qu'il faut examiner, et pas de manière exhaustive, sinon ton souci va traîner des mois.

ldd googleearth-bin me donne en tout cas des dépendances manquantes. A savoir :
libgoogleearth_free.so
libcurl.so.4
libGLU.so.1
libQtWebKit.so.4
toutes marquées '=> not found'
urpmi lib... m'a permis de réupérer les 3 dernières avec un petit paquet d'autres dépendances.

Et Google-earth marche toujours aussi mal, ce qui ne m'étonne pas trop vu le nom du paquetage.
Question toute bête : comment récupérer cette dépendance ? J'ai demandé à l'ami google qui ne m'a pas été bien utile.
Si, en plus je compare le résultat avec le ldd googleearth-bin d'itilo, il y en aurait 21 de plus (63 lignes dans la sortie du ldd d'itilo vs 41 chez moi). Utiles ?
Déjà avec libgoogleearth_free.so on aurait un bout de la réponse en espérant qu'elle soit 'non'

Perso j'ai installé sur ma MGA2 64bits, ce RPM : google-earth-6.2.1.6014-2pclos2012.i586.rpm

J'ai renoncé. Si je veux google earth, je repasse sous Mageia1 ou Mandriva 2010 spring.
Refroidi par cette expérience, je vais tenter skype. Si j'ai compris, je vais souffrir. J'ouvrirai un post pour demander de l'aide en espérant... Enfin on verra.
Entretemps j'ai essayé d'installer googleearth sur mon petit eeepc ou une mageia2 - i586 tourne du tonnerre avec une interface bien plus jolie que sur la version x64. J'ai utilisé la solution du dépôt google. Là, c'est pire : le dépôt google semble vide de toute version 32b ou quelque chose n'a pas fonctionné. Mais c'est un autre topic. C'est juste pour dire que google-earth, c'est quelque chose qui se mérite quand on est de la secte mageienne !
Enfin, tant qu'il y a de la vie, il y a de l'espoir :-)
