Thank you! I'm on both forums because this issue was not listed in the English forum. I suppose I could have posted this solution there, but then I wouldn't want to take credit for the solution.. I'd only be a messenger rather then a contributor
Now I need to find a solution to my DVD drive now. Thanks again everyone! This is what community really is.

moi ça marche très bien juste en installant "dkms-broadcom-wl"
ce qui est plus simple...
sans ce paquet j'ai comme message : "impossible de trouver l'interface ...(je sais plus)"
mais dur de l'installer sans connexion

après plus de 4 ans sur mon portable ma carte BCM4318 s'est enfin activée...
fini les fils, merci, merci, merci....

J'ai installer mageia 2, et la carte wifi du portable a été reconue automatiquement avec le Livecd 64bits
Ma carte: BCM4311
Les paquets installés sur mon système:
broadcom-wl-kernel-3.3.6-desktop-2.mga2
broadcom-wl-kernel-desktop-latest
dkms-broadcom-wl
