Je suis utilisateur de Jitsi. Je l'ai installé sur différent ordinateur (PC avec Mageia 2 et Eeepc 1001PX avec Mageia 3). Il fonctionne bien sauf sur un Eeepc 1015CX.
J'ai testé différente version de Mageia (3 et 4) et j'ai le même problème.
Je pense qu'il y a plus un problème sur un driver ou que le matériel est pris en charge mais je n'arrive pas à résoudre ce problème seul, j'espère que quelqu'un de la communauté pourra m'aider ou m'aiguiller vers une solution.
Le problème est le suivant :
Dans l'onglet Outils/option/vidéo (pour tester la config vidéo), la webcam s'allume (le voyant vert est allumé) mais je ne vois rien dans l'écran. Celui reste noir. Et pourtant la webcam fonctionne très bien sous d'autres logiciels d'acquisition d'mages et aussi sur Skype (avec le retour de l'image).
Avec Jitsi quand je fais un appel vidéo, de mon coté sur mon Eeepc 1015CX l'écran reste entièrement noir c'est à dire que je ne vois pas la personne qui m'appel ni moi dans la petite fenêtre en bas à gauche mais ma webcam c'est bien allumé. Pour preuve que celui-ci fonctionne bien c'est que la personne qui m'appel en vidéo me voit très bien mais moi je n'ai aucun retour sur mon écran ni de ma vidéo ni de la vidéo de la personne qui m'appel.

Je penche plus sur un bug coté JAVA ou dans la distrib. car la même version de Jitisi sur un autre eeepc 1001PX mageia 2 fonctionne.
Je vais essayer d'installer mageia2 pour voir

j'ai lancé jitsi sur 2 appareils et 2 systèmes ( Mageia4 et cauldron)
Je confirme que jitsi a bien du mal :
- à trouver la caméra dans le système ( cheese la trouve)

Quelles sont les versions exactes testées (qui fonctionne et qui ne fonctionne pas) ?

- Sur mon petit portable inote -processeur AMD E1 essential- la video de jitsi fonctionne sous Mageia4 .
( il faut mettre en fonctionnement la webcam par la commande clavier Fn F6 )
- Sous cauldron Cheese déclare une erreur ( il a déja fonctionné pourtant ) et jitsi trouve la webcam mais fait une image noire.
Pourtant il affiche dans Option..Video :
webcam BisonCam, NB Pro (/dev/video0)
Avec Ma tour à carte mêre "Intel Essential" processeur core2 duo,
sous Mageia 4 comme sous Cauldron la vieille webcam Labtec connectée en USB n'est pas vue par Jitsi .
La webcam fonctionne avec cheese sous Mageia4 .
Cheese déclare aussi une erreur actuellement sous cauldron .
