Un petit problème pour faire détecter la TV branchée en HDMI sur mon PC.
Lorsque je branche le câble HDMI, le choix pour étendre l'écran ou bien le dupliquer apparait, Quelque soit mon choix, dans la configuration de l'affichage, pas de tv détectée. Je n'ai que l'écran du PC !
C'est un PC portable avec 2 cartes Intel et Nvidia.

Après pas mal de recherche, ça semble être un problème assez récurent avec optimus.
J'ai fait quelques test :
le test sous opensuse
- Sous Mageia 8 sans avoir installer optimus avec le pilote graphique Intel : OK
- Sous Mageia 8 avec optimus pilote intel ou nvidia KO
- Sous OpenSuse 15.2 avec ou sans Optimus KO
- Sous Mint 20 pilote intel KO
- Sous Mint 20 pilote nvidia OK
Sous Mint 20 Cinamon, la gestion d'optimus est pas mal faite je trouve. Un simple clic sur l'icône présent dans la barre des tâches permet de changer de carte graphique et c'est stable sur ma machine. Par contre, c'est un noyau plus ancien que sur Mageia 8.
En attendant mieux, je redémarre sur Mint quand j'ai besoin d'envoyer la vidéo sur la télé.

Si je branche le câble session démarré, j'ai l'invit à l'écran pour choisir l'écran dupliqué, l'extension d'écran...
Mais quelque soit le choix, le second écran n'est pas pris en compte même résultat qu'au dessus pour la commande xrandr
Sur la même machine j'ai un OS de secours (Mint 20).

L'écran Hdmi est détecté dès le branchement du câble (avec le pilote intel ou le Nvidia et le double affichage est bien géré).
L'option dans la barre des notifications pour passer d'une carte à l'autre fonctionne. L'option (On demand), fait apparemment la bascule en automatique.

Maintenant, que nous sommes plus nombreux sur Mageia 8, quelqu'un d'autre rencontre t'il le même problème ? C'est un peu pénible de devoir redémarrer sur linux mint pour projeter sur la TV.

Je reviens sur ce sujet avec 2 PC cartes Intel pas de problème.
Il me reste mon PC avec carte Nvidia en Optimus.
J'ai récupéré un câble HDMI je peux essayer avec la carte Nvidia et la carte Intel avec Mageia Prime

Problème résolu

Ceci grace au post de cmoifp sur la traduction de Mageia prime.
Je n'avais jamais eu de PC avec optimus et je n'avais pas installé Mageia prime que je ne connaissais pas.
J'avais installé le paquet bumblebee directement.
J'ai désinstallé tout ce qui concernait nVidia et J'ai suivi le tuto traduit.
ça a fonctionné impeccablement.

Si un jour les développeurs veulent s'inspirer de ce qui se fait sur Mint, tout se met en place dès qu'on installe les pilotes proprios. et l'applet pour changer de carte est super pratique.

J'ai participé aux test mageia-prime et il y avait une discussion autour d'un applet et justement ça parlait de Mint.
Ca doit être dans les tuyaux du développeur (dont j(ai oublié le nom).

Bonne surprise avec mageia prime, le son bascule automatiquement sur le la sortie Hdmi de la carte graphique

Ce n'était pas le cas sur mon ancien PC, où il fallait faire la bascule dans kmix.
