j'ai installé le paquet task-gnome-minimal hier soir et rebooté la machine.
Je n'ai pas de gstion du wi-fi sous GNOME alors que sous KDE, tout va bien
Le logiciel qui va bien porte quel nom ?

Lors de ma dernière install sur un nouveau portable en LXDE, XFCE, je n'avais pas de wifi installé mais lorsque j'ai voulu configurer le wifi : le package à charger m'a été gentiment indiqué.
Je peux dire que j'ai apprécié, c'est tout le charme de mageia...
As-tu essayé, à partir du CCM, d'ajouter une connexion wifi et de voir si le package t'est proposé ?

La connexion wi-fi fonctionne sous KDE, elle est configurée avec le CCM sous Mageia.
Mais lorsque je suis sur GNOME, nada, que dal, que nini, rien. Je vais tester de recréer la connexion avec le CCM.

Le réseau n'est pas apparent dans le CCM. Je n'ai pas de liste des réseaux autour de moi (avec KDE, j'ai la liste).
Edit: Avec KDE, j'ai la liste des réseaux Wifi mais connexion impossible

Je tente la MàJ vers le kernel 3.4.24 qui est sorti hier.

Je n'ai plus de wi-fi du tout.
J'ai tenté la réinstall de iwlwifi sans succès.
J'ai tenté de supprimer la connexion et de la recréer en vain.
Je vois bien les réseaux wi-fi, mais connexion impossible.
J'ai activé le point d'accès wi-fi sur le téléphone, Mageia voit bien le nouveau réseau wi-fi sans pouvoir s'y connecter !
Help !

moi, je ne coche jamais cette case non plus.
Visiblement, c'est networkmanager qui est rentré en conflit avec les autres paquets installés.
La manip de réinstaller wpa_supplicant est tirée d'un post sur mageia.org.
Elle a désinstallé donc une partie des paquets GNOME dont ce fameux network manager ..

Bon je passais par là et en l'etat actuel, je gère mon wifi avec Netapplet, je vire systematiquement NetworkManager car y a un truc qui fait masse....comme disait Gaby

Idem pour moi, sinon se connecter en wi-fi peut devenir un casse-tête sous gnome...

en faite networkmanager est le connecteur wifi de gnome, l'autre est celui par défaut de mageia (mandriva avant), donc 2 en même temps qui gère ça peux faire lourd en effet. Mais on peux aussi choisir qui se lance ou pas :
systemctl disable networkmanager.service
il désactivera networkmanager qui ne se lancera plus au démarrage et aussi un petit gnome-session-propreties pour virer l'icone de networkmanager dans la barre de tache.
Car pas mal d'application ont besoin de networkmanager comme dépendance.
