Plantages récurrents : pilote ATI ? [Réglé]

J'ai un PC configuré de la sorte:
CM: Gigabyte EP45-DS3 Socket 775
Intel Core 2 Du E8400 à 3.00 Ghz avec cache de 6 M°
Mémoire: 6 G°
CG : MSI PCI Express ATI Radeon HD 4670 [RV730XT ]
Moniteur : Samsung SyncMaster T220
J'ai eu quelques difficultés avec Mandriva
J'ai eu plus de problèmes Mageia 1, car à chaque évolution se présentaient soit des problèmes récurents (écran noir, réinstallation de pilotes), mais aussi de nouveaux soucis (écran rouge, vert, noir mais pas le même ...) qui m'ont( obligés à plonger dans le cambouis, heureusement avec beaucoup d'aides (s'il m'en était manqué une seule, je ne serais pas encore là, ou plus du tout - donc encore un grand merci à tous ).
Avec Magéia 2, aucun souci d'installation. Ecran noir, installation pilote sous Konsole et voilà. Point.
Sauf que mon PC plante sans cesse (mais pas sous windows ni ubuntu, le triple boot fonctionnant parfaitement)
Donc, je me dis, Carte graphique !.
Mais quoi ?
J'ai installé le pilote ATI correspondant (et proposé par le CCM)
Alors, qui peut m'aider à résoudre ce problème ?

Ayant moi même une carte ATI (HD4890), j'ai moins de soucis avec le pilote libre radeon. J'ai eu quelques plantages avec le driver propriétaire.
Essayes d'installer le pilote libre "radeon" via le CCM . Pour qu'il fonctionne bien, il faut que le paquet kernel-firmware-nonfree ou radeon-firmware soit installé. Je te conseille de vérifier leur présence avant le reboot.

J'avais déjà instalé le kernel-firmware-nonfree. J'ai donc modifié le pilote pour prendre radeon, et plus rien !
J'ai donc réinstallé ati, mais il y a quelques minutes, c'est Digikam qui s'est barré ! Et c'est ainsi à chaque fois. Soudainement, c'est Digikam ou Firefox ou Thunderbird ou Libre Office qui s'éteint, et plus moyen de le redémarrer sans rebooter, quand ce n'est pas carrément qui l'écran qui "freeze" ou Mageia qui plante ! C'est d'ailleurs pour cette raison que je pense à un problème de pilote de CG. Mais je ne vois pas comment avoir la connaissance de ce qui se passe pour pouvoir rechercher la correction.
Une suggestion ?

Je suis pas sûr que cela peut être causé uniquement par la carte graphique. Peux tu nous délivrer le résultat de la commande dmesg (colle le résultat dans http://pastebin.com/ et retourne le lien dans ton post).
Cela peut être lié à un problème mémoire , ou de réglage acpi. Un memtest pourrait être utile pour vérifier qu'il n'y a pas de soucis avec ta mémoire. Le paquet memtest est disponible dans les dépôt de mga2. Tu l'installes et au moment du boot, tu peux choisir la ligne propre à celui ci pour vérifier si il n'y a pas d'erreur après l'execution des tests.
C'est bizarre que tu n'ai pas pu avoir de session graphique avec le pilote libre radeon... Tu l'a installé via le centre de contrôle Mageia ? As tu par hasard le propre à cet erreur Xorg.0.log (voir sous /var/log)

Si ça peux aider, moi j'ai la carte graphique 4850 HD de chez ATI et le pilote proprio n'a jamais voulu s'installer sur ma mageia 2 (aucun problème sous Mageia 1).

Par défaut le pilote proposé par CCM est le Radeon HD 2000 to HD 6300. mais ça ne me convenez pas car il ne digère pas du tout le bi-écran avec un projecteur (ML 500 de chez Optoma) et un écran 22" hyundai.
Alors pour essayer, j'ai voulu essayé le pilote Firepro (radeon/fglrx) le premier dans la liste ATI dans le CCM.
Là c'est mâgique !! ça fonctionne et pas de bug ! les résultats sont très bon avec les définitions natives pour chaque écrans qui est différentes (1080x1050 et 1280x800 pour le projo)
Vive les pilotes libres !

Je viens de changer de pilote. J'ai donc répondu "non" quand il m'a proposé un "pilote complémentaire" propriétaire. J'ai testé. J'ai obtenu un beau fond gris avec le texte demandant de confirmer. Ce que j'ai fait. Reboot. Rien. Liste des services démarrés. Erreur à "LSB ATI Events Daemon", à "waiting for Plymouth" (ou quelque chose équivalent. C'est pas simple à lire quand ça défile !). Et blocage. J'ai du passer par "alt+ F2" et remettre l'ancien pilote. Pourtant j'ai fglrx. Mais peut-être faut-il que je désinstalle quelque chose. J'ai vu aussi quelque chose sur Grub, mais je n'ai pas réussi à y entrer, malgré F6 au démarrage.
Merci pour votre aide, et j'attends vos remarques éventuelles.
Ah oui, j'ai essayé Memtest. Aucune erreur détectée.

Je vois pas trop quoi faire de plus. Normalement, le fait d'utiliser le centre de contrôler mageia pour forcer l'utilisation du pilotage libre radeon devrait fonctionner après avoir redémarré ta machine. Le pilote libre ne semble pas fonctionner avec ta config et je ne sais pas pourquoi.
Désolé de ne pas pouvoir t'aider d'avantage.

Excuses moi Papoteur, mais j'ai du t'oublier. J'ai regardé à l'époque de ta réponse ce que je trouvais dans /var/log/syslog. Mais je n'ai pas vu de date correspondante, mais sans comprendre ce qui était écrit et comment devait s'inscrire la date, j'ai du sauvegarder le fichier.
Je parle au conditionnel, car à l'instant, c'est KDE qui se plante et donc plus de Dolphin ni aucun outil KDE. Même le rapport de plantage se plante !
C'est vrai que c'est assez pénible, car en fait, lorsque j'utilise un logiciel (ici Firefox), j'ai toute les chances pour ne pouvoir en utiliser aucun autre. Ainsi Thunderbird peut se lancer ou pas. Mais alors c'est KDE ou Digikam qui vont se planter. Et l'inverse se produit également sans arrêt. Mais si je peux lancer Digikam, alors c'est Firfox ou Thunderbird qui vont refuser de se lancer ! Parfois, à l'allumage, après l'installation de Mageia, il est même possible que je ne puisse rien utiliser du tout et je dois éteindre et relancer.
C'est ce que je vais faire à l'instant pour essayer d'avoir KDE.
