Ca devient ennuyeux et j'ai la crainte des mises à jour désormais.
A la suite de chacune des 5 ou 6 dernières mises à jour de noyaux, l'affichage devient déficient : balayage de l'écran pendant quelques dizaines de secondes avec affichage d'erreurs, mais trop rapide pour que l'on puisse les lire. Stop, pour que l'on puisse constater qu'il y a des erreurs inscrites, redémarrage d'un nouveau balayage avec d'autres erreurs, à nouveau pendant plusieurs dizaines de secondes ... stop éclair, rebalayage indiquant la déconnexion de pilotes etc... puis enfin démarrage. Tout paraît normal, mais l'affichage est en erreur et aucun "effet pas disponibles sur ce système pour les raisons techniques suivantes : [rien d'indiqué). Parfois, et aussi souvent, c'est un écran "noir", qui oblige de repasser par une ancien version ou par le disque.
Alors, à chaque mise à jour, intervention sur les paramètres de la carte pour aboutir un semblant d'équilibre, mais sans revenir jamais aux conditions de la Mandriva 2009, qui permettait l'accès à toutes les modalités de réglages offertes par le matériel.
Mon équipement : Antec Sonata III avec CM Gigabyte EP45-DS3, Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 et Twin Corsair XMS 2x2048 M° + 2x1024 M°, CG MSI Radeon HD 4670, Moniteur Samsung T220, DD Maxtor 500 G° + Hitachi 1 T°
Mageia 64 bits
Manipulations correctrices:
- CCM Configurer le serveur graphique, carte, utiliser le pilote spécifique : oui ...
Matériel, configuration de la carte (idem ci-dessus)
- Téléchargement ati-driver_installer-x-x... déplacer dans p.e. /opt/local/ATI puis cd /opt...
chmdod +x ati-driver-installer...
./ati-driver-installer...
- idem ci-dessus mais avec ./ati-driver... buildpkg Mageia/1
urpmi *fglrx*.rpm
- Installer le pilote comme un paquet perso et le déclarer dans les medias
plus tous les mix ainsi que des essais de recompil ...
Mais à chaque fois, je dois réintervenir manuellement pour réinstaller ma carte graphique.
Et parfois (et aussi souvent puisque c'est la CG qui pilote), c'est le son qui lâche.
Bref, aucune mise-à-jour qui se passe sans intervention.
N'y-a-t'il pas moyen de faire perdurer ce type de réglage automatiquement, ou de le provoquer, même manuellement afin d'éviter l'écran noir : juste après une MAJ de noyau, de version, ouvrir une fenêtre de réactivation des paramètres p.e.?
Gagner des parts pour Linux et pour Mageia, c'est super, mais encore faut-il les garder.
Mageia est le seul à offrir cette facilité d'installation et d'évolution. Mais pour des machines types apparemment (ce serait d'ailleurs bien de préciser la ou les config lype, ou les ingrédients à éviter (comme ATI ?). Les autres n'ont qu'à rester chez Win ?

Un petit up svp.
Car cette fois, c'est le portable qui ne reconnaît plus la carte wifi, suite au passage au nouveau noyau. Pourtant, il me semblait que dkms permettait de se réimplanter automatiquement.
J'ai essayé de le relancer, mais comment faut-il pratiquer ?
J'ai essayé d'enlever le " rpm", mais comme je n'ai plus de connexion wifi, impossible de le recharger !
Enfin, une fois de plus, le nouveau noyau s'installe sans qu'on le sache - puisque j'ai essayé une MAJ sur un module qui fonctionnait sur l’antépénultième noyau. Et il faut réintervenir manuellement, les mains dans le camboui.
Quelles sont vos réflexions ?

alors avant toutes choses, les erreurs (trop rapide pour les voir) se trouvent dans /var/log. y a plusieurs fichiers de log, mais toutes les erreurs se trouvent dedans. ça peut aider pour comprendre le problème.
Comment installe tu les drivers pour ta carte ati ?
par le paquet dans les dépôts ? par toi même en compilant ?
Pour le portable, qu'elle est la carte wifi ?

Oui mais il te faut aussi le devel du kernel (celui ci se met il à jour aussi? )
en gros :
pour qu'une mise à jour de noyau sa passe bien il faut:
les dkms pour la carte graphique ou le driver wifi
le devel du nouveau noyau !
et lors du redémarrage le pc prendra plus de temps car il ré-compilera le driver pour que celui ci fonctionne.

Donc,

1) la dernière fois, j'ai installé le driver tout simplement par le dépôt, puisque désormais il existe. Mais le nouveau noyau ne le considère apparemment pas, ou l'écrase avec un autre ou ... je ne sais pas ce qu'il fait. Alors, j'ai lu quelque part qu'il fallait le mettre en blackliste pour qu'il ne soit pas touché. Quid ?
2) la carte est une realtek 8192SEvB. Elle fonctionne bien avec le noyau 6.7. Le dépôt est le rtl8192se-firmware. C'est comme ça que je passe.
3) Si j'installe le devel du nouveau noyau (par le CCM je suppose), se chargera-t-il ensuite tout seul ? Et, lorsque tu dis que le système re-compilera au démarrage, c'est à tous ou seulement à chaque changement du noyau ? Et ça prend combien de temps ?

oui ça recompilera tous seul, et non juste lors de l'installe d'un nouveau noyau, pour que tous ce mette à jour tous seul il faut aussi le kernel-devel-latest correspondant à ton version.

Alors j'ai actuellement le kernel-desktop-2.6.38-8-6.mga ainsi que kernel-desktop-devel-2.6.38-6.mga, kernel-desktop-latest et kernel-desktop-devel-latest.
J'ai actuellement recours à (toujours présent) kernel-desktop-2.6.38-7-1.mga ainsi que kernel-desktop-devel-2.6.38-7-1.mga, kernel-desktop-latest et kernel-desktop-devel-latest avec DKMS, DKMS-minimal, DKMS-fglrx et DKMS-r8192se et qui fonctionne.tout à fait correctement.
Si je te suis bien, en passant du noyau 38-7-1 au noyau 38-8-6, le "devel" aurait dû recompiler le DKMS-r8192se qui pilote la carte wifi ?
Y-a-t'il une activation à faire ?

oui c bien ça si le devel du nouveau noyau est bien installé, pour ça logiquement c le rpm latest qui s'en charge pour que tous soit automatique (ça n'empêche pas un bug sur le nouveau noyau). Idem pour la carte graphique.
Mais je voudrai éliminer cette possibilité avant d'aller t’envoyai trifouiller en console.
faudrait connaitre le module de ta carte wifi, pour lancer lui ci à la main pour voir si il retourne une erreur.
un truc du style modprobe rtse8192 (je vais regarder si je trouve)
Que disent tes fichiers log dans /var/log ?

Donc on reprends étapes par étapes !
Passe sur le noyau le plus récent, vérifie que le kernel-devel du nouveau noyau est bien installé et que le dkms et firmware de carte wifi aussi !
reboute si tous va bien il doit mettre plus de temps pour rebouter (1 seule fois) car il doit créer le module.
Si ça marche pas ouvre une console en root et tape:
moprobe r8192se_pci
si réponse FATAL: Module rt8192se not found.
c qu'il a pas compilé! faudra alors le faire à la mimine !

Alors j'obtiens $ : FATAL : Error inserting r8192se_pci (/lib/modules/2.6.38.8-desktop-6.mga/dkms/drivers/net/wireless/r8192se_pci.ko.gz) : invalid format
Donc, je rebbote sur le noyau 7, je tape modprobe r8192se_pci et ... retour à la ligne, sans rien dire.
Je passe en MCC, config matériel, carte wifi et je reçois carte Realtek 8191seVb avec pilote r8192se_pci.
Donc, si je comprends bien, en fait, j'ai une carte 8191 et non 92, mais sur le noyau 7, elle fonctionne avec le rpm rtl8192se et le pilote de la 92 ! Mais pas pour le noyau 8.
Alors, que fais-je ? D'autant que maintenant je trouve des utilisateurs qui sont en rade avec leur 8191.
J'étais content de m'en sortir avec la 92 et paf !

vérifie que le paquet kernel-firmware-extra est installé, et désinstalle les dkms-8192 . et bien sur, passe sur le dernier noyau avec son kernel-devel.
Si ça marche pas faudra revenir à l'ancien kernel et reinstaller le dkms.
