J'utilise la commande lshw en root en konsole ("k" vu que j'utilise KDE)
En attendant tu peux prendre ça, une fois téléchargé depuis les dépôts.

Perso, j'irais voir 'l'etat de santé' du fichier /proc/cpuinfo.
Mais moi, ce qui 'm'inquiete' c'est qu'il dit :
Warning: truncated a line (probably flags list) longer than 1024 bytes while reading /proc/cpuinfo.
traduc :
Attention : tronquage d'une ligne (probablement une liste de drapeaux) de plus de 1024 octets lors de la lecture de /proc/cpuinfo.
Moi je comprend qu'une ligne a été tronqué (coupé) (par quoi, alors là, il peut y avoir des tas de raisons...), et que c'est pour cà qu'il veut pas.
Je viens de regarder le miens, et ,perso, je m'interesserais particulièrement aux 'drapeaux' flag:
Qui, chez moi, fait quand même 4 lignes chacune, ceci 8 fois...
8 'blocs', qui commence par processor : et se termine par power management :
Faut ptetre voir non ?

Par défaut, aucun core dump n'est enregistré.
Si tu souhaite enquéter plus, tu peux déjà le lancer avec l'option -w pour qu'il cause plus.
Vis-à-vis de la faute de segmentation, il faut installer gdb
gdb hardinfo
(chargement)
run
(plantage)
bt full
Tu obtiens une trace que tu nous fourniras. On verra si on arrive à en tirer qqch.

De ce que je vois le Ryzen 7 7700X a 8 coeurs, 16 threads ( assez bizarrement le nombre de lignes qui remontent en erreur). Donc je suppose que la chaine de caractères flags fait plus de 1024 caratcères (cela peut être probablement vérifier en tapant la commande "cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep -E ^flags | uniq | wc -m "
Je suppose que comme la ligne contient plus de 1024 caractères, cela n' est pas pris en charge et génère une exception qui n' est pas gérée par hardinfo.
edit: je ne vois rien qui pourrait nous aiguiller sur la cause du plantage...
edit2: il est possible de charger uniquement certains modules pour hardinfo ( la liste s' obtient par "hardinfo -l" ("elles pour list-modules")). Malheureusement, le module devices.so dépends de computer.so, et computer.so dépend de devices.so ! Par contre on peut juste essayer de charger le module network.so ( hardinfo -m network.so ) pour voir si le plantage est du à computer.so et/ou devices.so ). Si cela ne plante pas, alors on peu considérer que le problème se pose dans un de ces deux modules ( en principe network.so n' a aucune raison d' aller chercher des informations sur le cpu).
edit3: hardinfo propose aussi de se passer des tests de benchmark de processeurs ( hardinfo -s ), ce test benchmark peut peut être aussi une cause de plantage ( repose également sur devices.so).
edit 4: le fichier source /modules/devices/x86/processor.c contient une taille fixe de longeur de ligne lisible en ligne 451 fixée à 1024. Pour faire disparaitre le message, je pense qu' il faudrait changer cette valeur et recompiler le programme pour voir.

Oui j'ai des USB externes branchées, et une fois débranchées hardinfo fonctionne

Si Papoteur, il faut que je prenne le temps de le faire car je n'ai pas l'habitude, mais je vais regarder ça. De plus je suppose qu'il faut faire en anglais, je vais faire travailler deepl.com parce que l'anglais et moi c'est compliqué, mais tu as raison je vais faire le maximum pour ce rapport de bug.
