Problème de configure sous Mageia 5.1 pour compilation de sources (application)

Sur un poste fraîchement installé en Mageia 5.1 (et mis à jour avec le dernier noyau disponible), première fois que je tombe sur une telle erreur et je n'arrive pas à m'en sortir.
Lorsque je lance le configure sur les sources du client mail Sylpheed, je finis par tomber sur cette erreur :
"checking size of off_t... configure: error: in `/home/monnom/Téléchargements/sylpheed-3.5.1':
configure: error: cannot compute sizeof (off_t)

Je peux fournir tout ou extrait du config.log.
