Partage impossible de connexion 4G depuis smartphone vers Mageia en USB (tethering)

Ma connexion Freebox subissant en ce moment des coupures intempestives de plusieurs heures, j’ai voulu connecter mon smartphone à mon PC pour me sauver dans l’intervalle.
Malheureusement, impossible d’établir sur Mageia ce partage de ma connexion 4G (smartphone Android) vers mon PC via USB (mon PC n’a pas le Wifi).
Aussi bien sous Mageia 8 que 7 (que j’ai encore sur un vieux PC secondaire).
Voici la procédure suivie :
1) Connexion entre le PC et le smartphone (un Samsung S9) via câble USB (le câble est bien compatible avec le transfert de données).
2) Sur le smartphone, activation du « Partage via USB » (« USB tethering ») dans les « Paramètres ».
À partir de là, ça fonctionne sous Windows, mais pas sous Mageia.
Mes réglages sous Mageia (voir les captures d’écrans plus bas) :
3) Centre de contrôle de Mageia --> Réseau et internet --> Configurer une nouvelle connexion internet.
4) Je choisis « Filaire (ethernet) ».
5) À l’écran suivant, il détecte bien l’interface réseau de mon Samsung ( « enp6s0f3u3 : SAMSUNG SAMSUNG_Android »).
6) Aux écrans suivants, je laisse les options par défaut (je ne connais rien aux réseaux).
7) Mais à la fin, ça ne marche jamais : « Des problèmes se sont produits pendant le test de connexion réseau. Ceci est peut-être causé par une configuration réseau incorrecte, ou un problème avec votre modem ou votre routeur. »
Je précise avoir désactivé (temporairement) le pare-feu de Mageia, pour être sûr que le souci ne venait pas de là.
N’étant pas connaisseur en réseau, je n’ai aucune idée de comment résoudre ce problème.
En listant mes connexions en console, j’obtiens cela pour celle du Samsumg :

Ce que tu fais est tout-à-fait correct et ne devrait pas poser de souci.
Je me souviens d'avoir déjà utilisé ce genre de connexion, par contre j'utilise networkmanager à la place de net_applet. Maintenant, j'utilise le wifi.

J'ai attendu même pas une demi seconde pour que la connexion se fasse, même après débranchement inopiné.

J'ai essayé avec Networkmanager, mais cela ne change rien : connexion impossible.
J'ai changé de câble au cas où, mais le blocage demeure (et le même câble fonctionne pour partager la même connexion 4G quand je branche mon Samsung S9 sur un système Windows 8.1).
J'ai essayé de lancer drakconnect depuis la console, pour voir davantage ce qui se passe, et j'ai eu ces retours :
1) Au lancement de drakconnect :

2) Je configure la nouvelle connexion dans drakonnect (comme dans les captures graphiques de mon précédent message) et lance la connexion à la fin :

3) Après une petite minute de tentative, Drakonnect m'affiche le même message d'échec que d'habitude, et en console :

La commande "journalctl" conseillée ne me donne pas de résultats bp plus éclairants hélas :

Bref, toujours bloqué.

Cela ne vient pas de Mageia (où la même configuration fonctionne immédiatement et impeccablement avec un autre ordiphone plus ancien).
Cela vient visiblement d’un bogue complexe d’interaction entre certaines versions d’Android (au moins la 8 et la 10), et certains appareils (notamment les Samsung S9 et S9+, mais visiblement plusieurs autres aussi) :

Ce qui n'affecte que le partage de connexion (tethering) USB, et rien d'autre.

En attendant, je crois que je vais devoir équiper mon PC du Wifi.

J'observe le meme probleme sur un pc HP ProBook 650 G2, avec mageia 8 - 64 bits - 5.15.74-desktop-1.mga8.
Je souhaite ne pas utiliser le wifi et passer par la connexion en usb.
Auriez vous une solution depuis le dernier post ?

avec mon S5mini sous LineageOS 16.0 (Android 9) et un PC portable HP ProBook 4540s sous Mageia8 kernel 5.15.43-desktop-1.mga8,
impossible aussi de partager la connexion. Celle-ci s'effectue pourtant, mais pas d'Internet!!!
Soupçonnant mon S5, je viens d'essayer sur ma tour HPxw9400 sous Mageia8 et kernel 5.15.74-desktop-1.mga8 et c'est OK!
N'ayant plus le Probook sous la main, je ne peux trop conclure si c'est un PB de celui-ci, du kernel différent...ou tout simplement d'un manque de Réseau puisque nous étions en extérieur...
Sur cet HP, à l'insertion du câble USB, (le même qu'avec le Probook) j'ai Digikam qui se lance détectant mon S5 comme un appareil photo.
Je m'empresse alors de fermer Digikam, car sinon il me semble impossible de pousser le bouton USB de partage connexion internet.
La connexion ne se fait alors pas automatiquement, il me faut me Connecter avec le gestionnaire Réseau sur l'interface Filaire (Ethernet) enp0s2f1u3 qui est apparue avec le smartphone et nommée SAMSUNG SAMSUNG_Android.
Pour info, je mets le log de la manip tracée par un journalctl -f
(il m'a fallu couper 2 fois Digikam, car j'ai raté le glissement du bouton USB de partage connexion sur le smartphone)
